Project Description

Goodman’s Fields

Berkeley Homes in London wanted to create a stunning new public plaza at their exemplar development in the City of London. The development at Goodman’s Fields, historically the pastures for London working horses, was to be celebrated by a sculpture that embraced the ‘Ghost Horses’ of the City of London, drays and carriage horses, escaped from their livery and breaking free onto Leman St.

Hamish Mackie won the competition to produce the horses and in doing so helped support the expansion of the Lockbund Sculpture foundry.
